He joined Metal Box in 1965 and worked within what is now the Crown Group for 34 years in a variety of Sales, Marketing and General Management roles within both the plastics and metal packaging businesses. He managed an IT implementation project based in Paris and latterly became involved in establishing the infrastructure for Crown UK compliance with the UK Packaging Regulations. This led to a broader role in Public Affairs including a secondment working in Brussels with the European Recovery and Recycling Association (ERRA) investigating recovery and recycling methods across the EU. Tony took up the role of Director of the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA) in January 2000 working with a wide range of Regulatory and Environmental issues both within the metal packaging industry and with other packaging organisations. Tony retired in 2007 and now has the time to join the judging panel who will benefit from his many years experience. |
