Prior to setting up his own consultancy Ray was Global Director of Procurement for a $2bn International Engineering Group, where he introduced new concepts for supplier packaging to be consistent with environmental targets for reduction and re-use of packaging materials. Ray’s packaging experience originated with a 20 year spell at Metal Box, followed by a further 5 years at the CarnaudMetalbox R & D site at Wantage in a Business Development role. Following this Ray was Global VP Sales & Marketing for a US based packaging machinery group whose product portfolio included “end-of line” case packing machinery and in this role worked with clients in many sectors to accommodate new ‘transit packaging’ concepts. |
