Michael is a specialist writer on packaging machinery and from 1990 to 2007 was editor of the PPMA magazine Machinery Update. He entered publishing from the chemical industry, joining the editorial staff of Manufacturing Chemist in 1967. Over the following years he also edited a number of business-to-business publications including British Printer, British Plastics & Rubber and Packaging News.
