3rd year judging on Starpack and first year as Chair of the Transit Judging Panel.Strengths: Commercial, Supplier Relationships, Materials. Phil’s current role is with Thorntons plc - he is well known in the packaging sector having worked in Senior purchasing and packaging roles for Perseco, Nestle, Dalgety, Mayr-Melnhof and Cow & Gate / Nutricia. Phil is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining / Institute of Packaging (IoM3 / IoP) and a Chartered Scientist, and also holds an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS). He has a wealth of knowledge of packaging materials used in wide ranging, high-speed manufacturing, along with a deep understanding of the importance of packaging choice across a range of complex supply chains. Phil combines his purchasing skills along side his packaging background to give a balanced approach to optimum business decision making. |
