Clare Bates


13 years working for Safeway/Morrisons taking all areas of Own Brand through from Design to Print. Clare recently set up a new department within Morrison for Quality & Innovation, looking at quality and consistency of print and the wider issue of environmental matters within the packaging industry.

Clare’s career before Safeway was working for several repro houses which gave her the grounding in the print industry. This was where packaging first got ‘under her skin’!

She has also been a judge for the EFTA Awards on several occasions.
